Rules
- This competition will be played as a knockout competition, consisting of 32 players in total; 8 players for 8US, 8 players for 9US, 8 players for 8UK and 8 players for Straight.
- Each format is unique and not linked to any of the other formats. (Players will only play matches of the type they have chosen).
- Each player can only compete in one format during any given season, but can change formats if they so wish before the start of any further seasons. Any subsequent seasons that begin will not be linked to the season before in any way, and will start afresh.
- Each round a random draw will be made to determine which players will compete against each other.
- The schedule given applies to each game type, and all matches for all game types in the same round of the competition will have the same deadline.
- Each round (excluding the Final) will be played over two legs and players will play the amount of games explained under 'Format' in each leg.
- Each frame won is worth one point. No extra points will be awarded for golden breaks, run outs or 7 ballings.
- After two legs, the player with the higher aggregate score will advance to the next round. The loser will exit the competition for that season.
- Any matches that are level on aggregate after two legs will require a tie-breaker. This tie-breaker will be the reverse of the type they are playing. i.e. Players playing 8US, 9US or 8UK will play ONE FRAME of Straight as a tie-breaker. The winner of this frame of Straight will advance to the next round. Players playing Straight will play ONE FRAME EACH of 8US, 9US and 8UK (3 in total) as a tie-breaker. The player that wins at least 2 of these 3 tie-breaker frames will advance to the next round.
- Match conditions are at the discretion of both players. An agreement must be made between both players as to how the game room is set up. If an agreement cannot be made, then the default conditions must be used.
- The default game room conditions are:
- Private room
- Friendly
- 20 second shot clock
